Wellness for leaders is about being well fed, physically active and well rested so that your body can produce energy, perform well and rejuvenate. It’s also about training your mind—to manage stress and improve your emotional intelligence. Food, sleep, fitness and mental function are interconnected. Getting back on track takes a concerted effort that addresses all four areas in a structured way. It also calls for a deep understanding of the demands of leadership or nothing will stick.

LEADERSHIP

A strong leader must be able to set a clear direction and motivate others to act. Delivering great results requires strong leadership skills and habits: communication, conflict management, facilitating the development of others, building allies, etc.

We start with comprehensive leadership assessments, including interviews with key stakeholders. This information is powerful; it provides insights into your strengths and weaknesses as well as a baseline for measurement.

A seasoned executive coach will work one-on-one with you to zero in on and improve leadership dimensions that are directly impacted by wellness: e.g. vitality, self-awareness and self-management, work-life balance, mental focus and adaptability, emotional intelligence and capacity to inspire. We address leadership and wellness systematically and holistically.

FOOD IS FUEL

Your body and brain need an optimal mix of nutrients for optimal function. Changing your diet can have a profound and rapid effect on your energy levels, sense of wellbeing as well as your waistline. 

Diet can’t be one-size-fits-all. Everyone has different nutritional deficiencies, food sensitivities, disease patterns, caloric demands and palates. Our nutritional coach conducts a comprehensive assessment, including a review of medical records, nutritional and hormonal labs and diet. 

With a clear understanding of the current status, we work closely with the the executive (and family if appropriate) to develop new eating habits. Our program includes:

  • Nutritional counseling tailored to the individual.
  • Planning for eating well while on the road.
  • Five weeks of healthy and delicious cooking by a master chef in your home.

STRESS MANAGEMENT

Prolonged stress creates fatigue, loss of libido and brain fog. It also changes your biochemistry. When the body registers stress, no matter its source, it kicks into survival mode and siphons off resources from the immune system, digestive system and hormonal systems, which undermines health.

Stress management keeps your body and mind out of survival mode. It’s about learning how to activate your inner rest/digest mode so that you can build more energy and focus. We work with leaders to develop personal stress management practices. 

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

If you want to inspire the best from those you lead—to motivate others toward greatness—you’ll need to learn how to influence the emotions of those around you. Our Master Mind/Body coach works with you one-on-one to develop the interpersonal competencies that will have the biggest effect on your leadership objectives, such as,

SITTING IS THE NEW SMOKING

Humans are wired for physical activity. Exercise has positive effect on energy, mood (can be as effective as anti-depressants), anxiety and insomnia. It also supports digestion, immune function, hormonal systems and the cardio-vascular system. 

Leaders who exercise regularly have more energy, more poise and better health. Exercise is really good, but not all exercise is equally beneficial. We work with executives to develop a personalized conditioning regimen that is designed to promote optimal stamina, health and vitality for their bodies.

Our Master Trainer is renowned for creating personal workouts that can be done anywhere and will build strength without depleting the body.

We conduct a comprehensive physical assessment at the outset of the program so that we can evaluate and improve:
